Kid’s & Stress: Need I Say More???

May is almost here!  Many of us are breathing a sigh of relief that our children or grandchildren are graduating.  Then there are some of us with young children who never think the day will come.  We love our kids, but there are days that we want to scream (and sometimes we do!)

Been There, Done That
I’ve been there, done that and in spite of myself, I am blessed with two awesome adult children.  There are still times where I scratch my head after blurting out my unsolicited advice, only to get a snarky reply.  After all, I know better and they should what to listen, right?
With it all, I know I did a great job (right kids?) but there were words said and some behavior I wish I could take back.  I know that I am not alone- well have all acted out when at our wits end.  What happens?  Our stress escalates and we feel guilty and angry at ourselves for losing it. There is no rewind button.

So What’s the Solution?

I am not an expert at solutions beyond what I teach but I would be remiss if I did not introduce you to my colleague parenting extraordinaire, Randi Rubenstein– Randi is the real deal, tell it like it is powerhouse.  She helps parents stay calm, cool, and connected during heated moments with their kiddos. Attaching one of her articles Here.

Even if you are not a parent of a school aged kid, this is a great read.  I am sure you know someone who needs to read this!
